| February 16-18 | Cheltenham Folk Festival | In the Town Hall. Always a great start to the Festival year. |
| May 18-20 | Holmfirth Festival. | A great lineup in "Last of the Summer Wine" country. |
| May 25-28 | The Whitby Shanty Weekend is held May Bank Holiday Weekend ( 25th/28th in 2007) and each October , as part of the Captain Cook Birthday celebrations | |
| May 25-28 | Chippenham Folk Festival. | Four days of the best in folk song, music, dance and traditions in the heart of Wiltshire |
| June 29-30 - July 1 | Four Fools Folk Festival, Chorley. | Centred at a school. Noted as a festival for singers and singing although there are Morris sides and a Ceilidh as well. |
| July 26 - 29 | Cambridge Folk Festival. | An even bigger weekend festival. |
| August 3-10 | Sidmouth Folk Festival. | Probably the biggest festival. Strong on roots as well as folk. However it does overlap Broadstairs. |
| August 10-17 | Broadstairs Folk Week. | The local blockbuster. |

| August 31 - September 2 | Faversham International Hop Festival | The traditional Kentish end of summer festival. Great concerts and sing-arounds and street entertainment. |
